๐๐ฐ๐ด๐ต๐ค๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ ๐๐: ๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฎ is the second release of the ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐ด๐ต๐ค๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ๐ด project which is based on open call for fieldrecordings curated by Martyna Basta and futher released under Progrefonik label as a letter correspondence with sounds instead of words.
We may be separated by tens or hundreds of kilometers, but by fieldrecordings we have the opportunity to be in each other's spaces at least for a while and, in the end, to create an absolutely new place for our ears, accumulating in itself a multitude of soundscapes. Every postcard of this kind becomes an exchange of tones between cities, spaces and gestures creating certain recordings.
Blooming is a process composed of movement, displacement and growth. Phenomenas that impose themselves on the ears and those barely perceptible sounds. ๐๐ฐ๐ด๐ต๐ค๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ ๐๐: ๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฎ is a minimalistic story which consists of three etudes where we focus on the micro and macro scale of events, combining different kinds of intensities, as blooming is also process filled with the struggle of opposites. Accompanying a volcano as it erupts, we listen to the cooling of hot bread, bees flying out of the hive fight with a drowning plane and plastic paper clashes with soft humming and dripping water. We experience both conflict and concord.

"The recording is from May 12, 2021, and this was my eighth visit to the volcano. It is located in Iceland, on the Reykjanes peninsula, in the Fagradalsfjall mountain range. It has been almost two months since it erupted - beginning on March 19. Since then, the behavior of the volcano has changed. One crater is active, which erupts with a high stream of lava after pauses of a few minutes. Each cycle lasts about 15 minutes. The recording shows one of them.
This day I was able to be alone with the volcano. Usually the area is crowded, but I went exceptionally early and there was almost no one besides me. On the hill from which I was recording, there was only me. It was an interesting experience, because despite the power of the phenomenon and the terror it evokes, I feel this relation as very intimate. Me - very small, fascinated and scared. The volcano - powerful, loud, but graciously allowing me to be there. I have a strong tendency to personify nature, and in this case it's amplified. I try to visit the volcano regularly, like a friend, checking in to see what it's up to. Something different every time.
So, in this powerful sound of the most primal of natural forces, I felt something very personal and close to me".
